SEE MORE PHOTOS OF THIS VETTE AND 125+ OTHERS FOR SALE AT WWW.BUYAVETTE.NET! Red exterior, Red leather interior. 210hp 327ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission. The only midyear that seems to be just as desirable as the '67, the '63 Split Window Coupe is nothing short of a legend in the classic car market. Assembled on January 2, 1963, this Split Window Coupe is rumored to have been a Georgia car all its life, and has just received a body-off restoration. Paint on this car is older, but still shows a good shine. Paint code shows 912; trim code shows 490J. Original chrome bumpers are in good original condition with no rust or major dents. With the exception of the windshield, all glass on this car shows a correct date code. Exterior door handles are in very good condition; weatherstripping is in good condition. Taillights are free from cracks, and in very good condition. This car wears a set of 1963 hubcaps, which are in fair condition with normal signs of age. Radial whitewall tires are mounted, and show 6/32nds tread remaining. The interior of this 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe shows good condition leather seat covers, center console, door panels, and gauges. Carpet and steering wheel are in fair condition; dash pads are in very good condition. A Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has been added in place of the original radio. A Hurst shifter has been added as well. Clock is working! The frame and engine compartment on this car have been extensively detailed, and are show quality. Engine shows casting number 3903352, which we believe to be a 210hp 2 bolt 327ci from a 1967 passenger car. Engine casting date is missing; assembly date corresponds to January 4. A rare vintage Edelbrock C3BX intake is present, as well as a Holley carburetor, and HEI electronic ignition. New exhaust is also present. Considering that a body-off restoration usually costs around $10,000 and consists of removing the body from the frame, complete refinishing of the frame, replacing bushings, mounts, and brake lines just to name a few things, it is remarkable that we are able to offer this Vette for such a low price. Well, seeing is believing, and once you see the undercarriage and recent pictures of the body-off, you will become a believer as well. Factory features include 4 speed manual transmission. This car runs and drives very well, and also features many original and correct parts. Body assembly date shows March 5, 1963. Paint is driver quality, showing some age with a few touchups, but still looks great from a few feet away and shines well. There is some light fiberglass damage surrounding both the driver's rear and passenger's front bumpers; cracks are present, although there are no holes or sections that are completely severed. Convertible top looks to be newer, and is in great shape with no rips or tears, and also has a clear window. Correct style hubcaps are present, and are in good original unrestored condition. Firestone FR480 tires are mounted, and show 65% treadlife with no dry-rot. Chrome bumpers look to be all original, and show average wear with no major dings and no rust. Chrome exterior door handles are also original, and in similar condition. Original weatherstripping is present, and is quite brittle. Someone has added two extra taillights to this car, for a total of six; taillights are in average condition, with 4 out of the 6 showing some cracking. The interior of this 1963 Corvette shows newer seat covers, which are in very good condition. Door panels are in good condition, showing some wear on the carpet. Steering wheel is in good overall condition; dash pad is in very good condition with no cracks. This car has correct loop carpet, which appears to be newer with little to no fading and no worn spots. A set of slightly newer style GM seatbelts is present, and the gauges are in good original condition with minor fading. Clock is not working at this time; original AM radio is still installed. Glovebox is in good condition with a few small dings and a working latch. The block shows casting number 3782870; date code reads C155, and an EC suffix is present on the stamp pad. Ignition shielding is present and installed, along with 340hp valve covers and air cleaner. Additions to this car include a set of sidepipes, and a Hurst shifter. This 1963 Corvette Convertible features a solid frame. Factory features include signal-seeking AM radio. FREE 5 YEAR/100K ADDITIONAL MILE WARRANTY, GOOD AT ANY REPAIR FACILITY NATIONWIDE! 1964 Convertible Engine: LS1, 4300 Miles, Color: Torch Red with Black (Leather) interior. THE VETTE NET.com is a nationwide Corvette brokerage network and a proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum. We are Corvette enthusiasts and owners like you. So, you will understand our excitement over this incredible 1964 RESTOMOD convertible. Thanks for stopping by to check out this hi-tech Stingray.
There is so much to tell. Where do we begin to describe this AWARD-WINNING Restomod? You can see the body panels are original. But the flawless PPG Torch Red paint definitely is not. Inside the cabin it looks normal 1964 until you notice the gauges, the A/C, the tilt column and teak wheel, the Custom Auto Sound system, etc. That is just the little stuff. Wait until you view the extensive photo album. You will be awestruck!
Starting with the one-of-a-kind box frame, this Restomod takes on a hi-tech persona. The 2002 LS1 pumps out 446 rwhp and 438 lb-ft. of torque and ran the quarter in 11.40 at 119. The modified 4L60E auto trans delivers that big power to the Dana 44 rear with 3.73 gears. But this is not a racecar. It is just very fast and great fun! There is more to this 1964 Vette story. A LOT more! Just ask me to send you the full details and show you that incredible photo album.
We welcome all inquiries and are very experienced working with international Corvette enthusiasts. If you like, we can connect you with very qualified Corvette inspection and transportation services. Their costs are reasonable. Or, you could inspect the car yourself.
