The car has 76,200 original miles and has been adult driven since new. It has never been in an accident, never raced, never in snow, rarely ever in rain, and has never been smoked in. It's been in a garage for most of its life.
This Corvette runs strong and smooth and has no big rattles like a lot of Corvette's of this age. The transmission shifts firmly and overdrive works correctly. The suspension is tight and smooth with newer KYB gas shocks. The brakes were redone by Chevrolet about 4K miles ago. All maintenance has been kept up to date and it just passed NC inspection in April, '08. On the last highway trip this Corvette got 25 MPG.
In 2004, I had the paint redone with the correct OEM GM two-tone blue colors and added new fiberglass bumper covers. The paint has a lifetime warranty. The interior is in very good condition as well. It has power windows, power locks, power mirrors, and power driver's seat; as well as cruise, tilt, and telescoping steering wheel.
I have the original factory Corvette 16" aluminum wheels with Goodyear GT tires with about 70% tread remaining. Buyer can choose the current set or original set.
This Corvette currently has an Alpine CD/MP3 stereo, Alpine speakers, Soundstream amp and small sub. The factory optional BOSE stereo system and amplified speakers were unplugged and I have those components if the buyer wants them instead of the aftermarket stereo.
