1974 Convertible Engine: 350ci, Miles, Color: Dark Red with Dark Red/Silver interior. FREE 5 YEAR/100K ADDITIONAL MILE WARRANTY, GOOD AT ANY REPAIR FACILITY NATIONWIDE! SEE MORE PHOTOS OF THIS VETTE AND 125+ OTHERS FOR SALE AT WWW.BUYAVETTE.NET! Dark Red exterior with Orange and Silver pinstripes, Silver/Dark Red vinyl interior, Black convertible top, matching auxiliary hardtop. 330hp 350ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, posi rear-end. We can bet you've never seen a '74 like this before -- this car is GUARANTEED to turn heads wherever it's taken! This gorgeous show car has had many thousands of dollars invested in it, which is quite obvious when looking at it. This car has been a trailer queen, and has won many awards including the American Muscle Car Assocation Nationals Best of Show award, 3rd Place in the Eckler's Custom I class, and was also a National Class Winner at a more recent American Muscle Car Association show. Please note that while we will have photos of a few of these trophies, they will not be included with the car. Assembled on February 15, 1974, this Corvette's trim tag shows paint code 14 and interior trim code 407. Custom paint was done on this car in 2003, and has held up very nicely, with absolute minimal flaws. Custom pinstriping was touched up six months ago and looks new. A 1978 Pace Car style front spoiler has been added to this car, in addition to a protective strip on the tonneau cover, which protects the paint beneath it when the top is in the up position. The convertible top itself is in excellent condition, showing little to no wear and a clear window. A matching auxiliary hardtop will come with this car as well. Both the driver and passenger glass on the car show correct date codes. Chrome exterior door handles show a nice finish with no pitting, and have strong return springs. A set of 15 inch chrome Cragar 5 spoke wheels have been added and are in excellent condition, wearing a set of nearly new Goodyear Eagle GTII raised white letter tires with 9/32nds tread remaining. Original taillights are in average condition, showing typical light cracks from age. Door weatherstripping is newer and in very good condition; a-pillar weatherstripping appears to be original. Much of the interior of this 1974 Corvette Convertible Show Car is new, including the deluxe interior door panels, seat covers, seatbacks, rear center console, and carpet. Original front center console shows a small crack near the shift plate, and is in fair condition. Gauges are clear with the slightest hint of fade; steering wheel wears a stitched-on cover. Dash pad is free from cracks, and an Alpine CD stereo model CDE-7821 has been installed in place of the original AM/FM radio. A pair of new door sill plates with the Corvette script have been installed as well. Factory air conditioning is hooked up and blowing cold. For an extra custom touch, the carpet has been redone in Dark Red, while the seats and other trim are still Silver. We highly recommend wearing sunglasses when opening the hood of this car so that you don't get BLINDED by the amount of chrome dress-up that it's received!! The non-original engine in this car shows casting number 14016379, which could be correct in some late-1979 production Corvettes according to Corvette By the Numbers. Engine casting date corresponds to July 19, 1979; engine assembly code and suffix reads V0799800. According to the owner, this engine has just 27,000 miles on a complete rebuild. A new clutch, bellhousing, pressure plate, and pilot bearing have been recently installed, along with two new brake calipers, and both trailing arms. Other recent work includes a new power steering pressure hose, new gas tank and associated hardware, new rear leaf spring, and new steering and suspension bushings all around. As we said, this engine compartment is covered in chrome, including the master cylinder and brake booster, thermostat housing, air cleaner, valve covers, water pump, hood hinge, hood springs, hood insulation clips, accessory brackets, alternator, power steering pump, headlight actuators, ignition coil, and distributor vacuum break. Adding to the shiny appearance are a set of Hooker Super Comp stainless steel longtube header and sidepipes, a Be Cool aluminum radiator, polished electric fans, polished Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, polished Holley carburetor, billet aluminum pulleys, and braided ignition wires and hoses. New hood insulation has been installed as well. Frame is rust-free, solid, and nicely detailed, as is the engine compartment. This car is ready to attend more shows and collect more trophies, so buy it now or count on seeing it take all the awards at your next show! Factory features include auxiliary hardtop, 4 speed manual transmission, alarm, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, AM/FM radio. FREE 5 YEAR/100K ADDITIONAL MILE WARRANTY, GOOD AT ANY REPAIR FACILITY NATIONWIDE! Our Price: $29,900. Financing Available.
