1978 T-Top
Engine: L82, 85,000 Miles, Color: Silver & Charcoal with Cream interior.
1978 Chevrolet Corvette Silver Anniversary Edition - L82, Manual 4 Speed, Numbers Matching Key Features: L82 Engine: The powerful 350 cubic inch V8 engine delivers 220 horsepower, ensuring a dynamic driving experience. Numbers Matching: Verified with original engine (V0614CMR 18S432711) and VIN (1Z8748S432711). Silver Anniversary Edition Interior: The interior is in good shape with some moderate wear, featuring comfortable seating and a classic dashboard layout. Includes protective dash and seat covers. Exterior: The paint is in very good condition, with minimal rock chips and blemishes, with the Silver Anniversary color scheme looking sharp and well-preserved. This car has been garaged at all times. Mechanical: Regular maintenance has kept this Corvette in top shape, with no major issues. Just keep the oil topped up and use only clear gas. Note: After-market exhaust system includes headers, true dual exhaust, and high-flow mufflers, which gives it the power originally intended for a C3 (pre-1975). This means that OEM smog hardware has been totally removed, so it will not pass an emissions test! (But boy does it sound great and have the originally intended power.) Additional Details: • Transmission: 4-speed manual • Recent total rebuild of original Rochester 4 barrel carburetor, and new fuel pump. • Tires and brakes in good condition, with full size spare. • Air conditioning is strong and cold. • Vacuum headlamps work fully, with recent replacement of actuators. • All dash instruments work fully. • T-Top fits tight, with no leaks. • Battery is good and has been maintained on a trickle charger. • After-market radio looks like the original model, but provides Bluetooth. Documentation: Includes binder copies of full original GM service manuals and previous owner repair receipts. What is NOT working at this time: • E-brake (always park it in first gear). • Right side electric window regulator • Power radio antenna motor (but radio reception is still decent without it) • Rear glass defogger I have owned and cared for this car for 14 years. It is time for someone new to have that pleasure. I do not need to sell it, so low-ball offers are a wasted effort.

This C3 Corvette is nice, well maintained, and has plenty of power to cruise comfortably. It’s a strong-running, great-looking American classic that’s ready to enjoy. Did you know? 1981 was the last year for a carburetor on the corvette. It was also the first year for a computer in a corvette. This was the last year for the Saint Louis Assembly Plant and the first year for the Bowling Green Plant. In 1981, GM produced over 40,000 Corvettes, only 5,757 of which were 4 speeds and only 7,803 with Gymkhana suspension. 1981 was the last year for the 4 speed transmission in a Corvette.
