1969 Convertible Engine: L71 427ci V8, 22813 Miles, Color: Burgundy with Black Leather interior.
With the exception of the legendary L88s, the 435 hp L71 big block is unquestionably the “top dog” of the C3 engine lineup. 1969 was the last year for the celebrated 427ci engine and of the 15, 325 big block Corvettes built in 1969 only 2,722 received the L71 427/435 tri-power solid lifter engine. This was the end of the line for the ascent in raw power for the Corvette. An important era in Corvette high performance was drawing to a close.  The 1969 Burgundy convertible being offered for sale here provides the ultimate in C3 performance and perfection. The Corvette Order Copy (Tank Sheet) indicates the car came from the factory with: A01 Soft-Ray Tinted Glass; C05 Convertible Top/ White; G81 Positraction Axle 3:70:1; K66 Transistor Ignition; L71 435-HP Turbo-Jet 427 V8; M21 4-Speed Close-Ratio Transmission; U79 AM/ FM Stereo Push Button Radio; 402 Black Leather Trim, and C08 Vinyl Covered Hard Top. This 22,813 mile Corvette, being offered by the 2nd registered owner, is a highly original car that was treated to a 1st class no expense spared “nut and bolt” body- on restoration, which is documented with numerous restoration photographs. Never off its original frame, this Corvettes drives like only a factory mounted Corvette drives. This truly is an exceptional Corvette. Corvettes of this quality stand out and above the rest. This is a 1969 427/435hp 2 top convertible for the discriminating buyer who wants the very best and will settle for no less. Located in Texas, the car can be inspected by appointment.
