1969 T-Top Engine: 350, Unk Miles, Color: Blue with Black interior.
Our offer today is one of the most desirable vintage, the 1969 which marked the real debut (nobody counts the 1968...) of the "Bumper cars", the Steel bumper Stingray (now one word), the third generation of Corvettes which lasted till 1982. This Vette comes with the matching numbers 350 engine rated at 300 HP mated with the automatic transmission and equipped with factory Air Conditioning. The correct VIN and suffix for the combination "HZ" is present on the engine pad as seen in the picture. Has Edelbrock intake and carburetor and Big Block hood. The car had a lot of work done to it. The undercarriage has been completely redone with new suspension, bushings, brakes, etc to the tune of $3450... It has new tires and beauty rings. Interior is complete and a new set of front carpet is available and will be installed on the car. Has new door panels too. All gauges work, horn too. Frame and bird cage is very clean with no sign of rust as seen in the pictures. Car starts and runs, exhibits lots of power, brakes work as they should... It is a work in progress and it will have functional vacuum operated headlights and wiper door, cold AC, front carpet installed and lots of cosmetic updates and repairs. What is left for the next owner is the paintjob. Car was originally LeMans Blue according to the trim tag and it would look great brought back to it former glory as in the file picture from the gallery. 1969 T-Top Engine: 427ci V8, 51145 Miles, Color: LeMans Blue with Black interior.
1969 was the last year for the celebrated 427ci tri-power engine in the Corvette. With the distinctive big block hood, a clear indicateon to all automobile enthusiasts under the hood lied a very potent power plant. Remember, this was the heyday of the “Muscle Car” era, when cubic inches and horsepower meant everything in the automobile world, especially to those enthusiasts desiring high performance sports cars. Being offered for sale, by the estate of a long time NCRS member and owner of the car since July 1970, is an excellent LeMans Blue, with Black standard interior, 1969 L68 427/400hp tri-power 4-Speed air conditioned Coupe. Of the 15,831 big block Corvettes built in 1969 only 2,072 received the L68 427/400hp engine option. While Chevrolet does not publish the breakdown of the 11,859 air conditioned Corvettes by body style, engine option, and color, it can be safely concluded a LeMans Blue 427/400hp 4-Speed air conditioned Coupe is a pretty rare Corvette. What makes the Corvette being offered especially rare is its limited ownership history, its originality, and its documentation. The car has its original LeMans Blue paint, original Black vinyl interior, original M21 4 Speed Manual close-ratio transmission, original window glass, original bumpers / chrome work, and original 3.70:1 positraction rear axle. GM side exhaust have been added and the car is currently powered by a GM service replacement 427ci CE short block, with all the other original engine components in place. The original engine block (fully operational), original exhaust system, original rocker panel moldings, and original rear valance go with the car; so, the car can easily be brought back to original factory configuration, if one wanted pursue NCRS or Bloomington Gold judging awards. The car, with 51,145 documented miles, is nicely optioned with: power steering; power windows; AM-FM radio; Tinted Glass; Rear Window Defogger; Speed Warning Indicator; Headrests; Air Conditioning and has the original Corvette Order Copy (Tank Sheet) and Protect-O-Plate. This very original 1969 LeMans Blue big block Corvette presents in excellent condition, drives great and needs nothing other then to be proudly and enthusiastically driven and enjoyed. This is a car which must be seen in person to be appreciated. The estate is very interested in selling the car and will consider all reasonable offers, in line with the asking price, made by a buyer ready to complete the transaction.
