
The 1967 Corvette was the last production year of the
C2 Corvettes 1963-1967 Midyear generation. Production was nearly 5,000
units less than the previous year with 22,940 corvettes built: 8,504 Corvette
Coupes and 14,436 Corvette Convertibles. Original pricing for the 1967
Corvette Coupe was $4,388. The 1966 Corvette Convertible was for sale
priced slightly lower at $4,240.
The 1967 Corvette also featured 4 verisons of its 427
cubic inch engines while only 2 small block configurations were available.
There were six engines available for the 1967 Corvette:
327 ci 300 hp base engine
327 ci 350 (L79)
427 ci 390 hp (L36)
427 ci 400 hp (L68)
427 ci 430 hp (L88)
427 ci 435 hp (L71)
The 1967 was slightly redesigned with a new "stinger"
hood for the big block models. The three vents on the sides where increased
to five. Finally, Rally wheels replaced the knock-offs. 10 Exterior colors
were available (Paint code in parenthesis):
