1961 Convertible
Engine: 327, 1600 since restoration Miles, Color: Red with White Coves with Red interior.
Welcome to THE VETTE NET, a very proficient and knowledgeable online Corvette brokerage company. Since 1998, we have provided our professional broker services to the USA and worldwide Corvette community, assisting both buyers and sellers with their transactions. We look forward to adding you to our long list of happy clients. The 1961 model carried through the contrasting coves, but was the last one to offer them as a factory option. Add the classic Red with White coves and you have the best combination. This show winner 1961 Corvette was frame-off restored in 2014 to the highest standards of correctness. It is Roman Red with White coves and has a soft white convertible top. The engine is a rebuilt 1965 Corvette 327, V8, 250 horsepower, 4-speed manual transmission, with only 1600 miles since restoration. The car was originally equipped with a fuel injected system, but was replaced with the rebuilt 327 during restoration. The car is in excellent running condition. The car is in overall outstanding condition. Some highlights of the restoration are the exterior paint, chrome, wheels and tires, glass, seats, carpet, door panels, instrument panel, gauges, dash pad, trunk, undercarriage and frame. The restoration is top-notch and it shows! The car was purchased from the original owner in 1973 with the intent to restore the car by the second owner. The restoration was never completed and the car had been in storage (and not driven) since 1973 until being sold to the next owner in 2014 (Virginia), when the mentioned off-frame restoration was completed. Since 2019 it resides in South Carolina where is available for your inspection. Just recently, a modern Wonderbar radio was installed. Needless to say, it will be hard to duplicate such a quality restoration, so this is your chance to secure a great example of the early Corvettes and enjoy driving and showing it! Feel free to enjoy the pictures from the gallery. The first 12 pictures are from the actual owner in SC, the next ones are from the previous owner, taken in 2019. We can assist with delivery worldwide. Corvette trades are considered, also assistance with financing is provided. For information on this car, please contact anytime Ken at (866) 838-8363 (866-VETTENET toll-free), +1 (941) 586-9924 International, or email Ken@TheVetteNet.com . ****************** Since 1998, THE VETTE NET, a Business Lifetime Member of the National Corvette Museum, has established itself as the premier source for buying, selling and leasing Corvettes, with thousand of enthusiasts assisted nationwide and international.
