1963 Convertible
Engine: 327 Matching Numbers, 75 on recent restoration Miles, Color: Sebring Silver with Black interior.
THE VETTE NET is a professional Corvette brokerage network and proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum. Thanks for stopping by to look at this iconic Fuel Injected Corvette Convertible located in KANSAS. IMPORTANT DETAILS: Sebring Silver was one of the more popular color choices in 1963. When you see this Corvette in the sunlight, you will understand why. Beautiful!!! Under the hood you will find the hi-performance Fuel Injected 327/360hp engine. It is completely numbers matching and documented by its prestigious awards – Bloomington Gold and Top Flight. Historical data shows LESS THAN 10% of 1963 Corvette production orders were for the L84 Code Fuel Injected engine. Factor in the low production number of 1963 convertibles and you are looking a pretty rare Sting Ray. The Corvette has been driven only a few miles since the restoration was completed and the Vette judged. As you will see, this “fuelie” looks like it just rolled off the factory assembly line. SPECIFICATIONS as reported by the owner: • 867 Base Convertible • 941 Sebring Silver Paint (Matches factory code) • STD Black Vinyl Interior (Matches factory code) • L84 Fuel Injected 327/360hp Engine (Numbers matching) • M20 Muncie 4-speed Manual Transmission • G81 Positraction (3.36 ratio) • U69 Radio • P92 White Wall Tires Limited owner history has been collected. Documentation includes Bloomington Gold and NCRS Judging Sheets. The Glovebox documents were also judged. CONDITION RATING 9+ (Using a 10-high scale): The overall appearance condition is owner-rated as 9+. The chassis, steering, suspension and exhaust system are all in excellent condition. This Sting Ray performs and handles just like when it left the factory. INFORMATION REQUEST: For more information about this 1963 Fuel Injected Sting Ray convertible, please call LARRY the “Classics Specialist” at 269-962-1788 (EST Michigan) or email Larry@TheVetteNet.com ************************************ WHO IS THE VETTE NET? 1965 Convertible
Engine: 502, 0 UNKNOWN Miles, Color: Victory Red with Black leather interior.
California car, no rust, no hit, off road from 1988 until 2010. Originally rally red with red interior, 365/327 based on receipts from valve adjustments, original engine long gone, 4 speed, 3.55 posi. I purchased in 2007 in boxes and totally disassembled. I replaced interior, windshield, glove box door, dashpads, power antenna, all weatherstrip, Al Knoch top on rust free frame, gauges had been rebuilt when I bought car. I rebuilt head light motors, PW motors, replaced ALL wiring harnesses, body mount bushings, re-chromed original bumpers, taillights, emblems, re-chromed vent windows, NOS rocker moldings, dressed to look like a 396 car, has original grille, and appears to be an original 396 hood. I installed a 66 BB radiator support and a Dewitts 66 BB radiator with twin electric fans. The new, aluminum head engine had two dyno pulls, the first made 580 horsepower at 5600, and the second made 623 at 6300. I have the first dyno sheet, but I am looking for the second sheet. It has custom Elston(Elston Exhaust.com)tri-y stainless headers and stainless pipes with Magnaflow mufflers. I replaced the suspension with Van Steel coilovers, including offset control arms in the rear. It has new rotors and Wilwood calipers along with Wilwood master cylinder. I replaced the steering with a Flaming River r&p and tilt steering column. The paint is nice, but could be made show quality with wet sanding and buffing. The wheels are custom 7" rally wheels with custom offsets and tires are 225/60/15 in front and 235/60/15 in rear. I built this car to drive and completed it in late 2010. The odometer promptly broke as I drove it from my basement. It may have 3000 miles on it, at the most and has never spent a night outside since I have owned it. Knee problems have prevented me from driving it as I intended. I kept the original suspension parts, including rear trailing arms that are in good condition, as well as the brakes, rotors and master cylinder. I also have a decent, non restored hardtop and spare tire carrier that will go with the car. I am sure I am forgetting some things, so if you are really interested, and have questions, please give me a call. If I do not answer, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I am available. May entertain partial trade on nice 67-69 Camaro street car.

1965 Coupe
Engine: 396, 58956 Miles, Color: Blue with White interior.
This car was purchased new by Dr. William F. (Bill) Eschrich from Burbank California. Dr. Eschrich was a famous sports car driver and entrant from the 50’s and 60’s. He participated in many of the classic road races including Pebble Beach, Thompson Raceway, Bakersfield, Willow Springs, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Hansen Dam, Paramount Ranch, and Torrey Pines. As a team owner and entrant, his most famous driver was Ken Miles, who was one of the most successful drivers of his era, going on to become the chief test driver for Carroll Shelby and his Cobra program. James Dean’s last race was won by Dr.Eshrich in Santa Barbra Memorial Weekend 1955. In 1965, Bill entered the Bonneville Speed Trials with his new 396 Turbo Jet Corvette and went a spectacular 155.17 mph setting a class record that year in addition to winning several road races at Bonneville. After that, Bill continued to drive the car around Burbank until his death 25 years ago. He put 55,916 miles on the car with its original “Black and Gold” California Plates. Since then the car has remained in a private collection. 396 Big Block Facts Development of the second generation big-block started with the so-called Mystery Motor (Mark II Z33) used in Chevrolet's 1963 Daytona 500 record-setting stock cars. This "secret" engine was a substantially modified form of the "W" engine, and was subsequently released for production use in mid-1965 as the Mark IV, referred to in sales literature as the "Turbo-Jet V8."GM rated it 425 HP when in actuality it was well over 500 HP! Also retained from the "W" design were the race-proven Moraine M400 aluminum bearings first used in the 409, as well as the highly efficient "side oiling" lubrication system, which assured maximum oil flow to the main and connecting rod bearings at all times. Later blocks intended for performance use had the main oil gallery moved up to the cam bearing bore area and provided "priority main" oiling, improving the oil system even further. These features, along with the robust crankcase design, sturdy forged steel crankshaft and massive four-bolt main bearing caps used in the high-performance versions, resulted in what many have considered to be the most rugged and reliable large displacement automotive V8 engine design of all time. One of only 2,157 Corvettes produced with the 396 cubic inch / 425 Horsepower engine with coupes being the rarest with only 618 being produced and only a handful equipped a Muncie Rock Crusher transmission. This car has documented matching numbers including its original starter and coil (very rare). Included are the original “Black and Gold” plates, original radio, owners manual, original jack, registrations, Bonneville decal, Bonneville Brass Dash Plaque, timing sheets and period photos, In addition to being 2012 NCRS Top Flight Award recipient and 2014 La Jolla Concours D' Elegance invitee. This one of a kind Corvette could make any collection complete and would be a welcome entrant to any vintage car race, not to mention being a street legal e-ticket! The car is finished in Nassau Blue with a white interior. This is considered to be one of the most striking and beautiful optioned Corvette and color combination's ever! Few automobiles carry such a rich history as this Big Block Corvette

1965 Coupe
Engine: 502, Unknown Miles, Color: Dark Green Metallic with Black interior.
Welcome to THE VETTE NET - Nationwide and International Corvette Brokerage Network, your modern destination for buying and selling, since 1998! The second generation of Corvettes (63-67), also dubbed the Mid-years was in full swing, but soon, it became evident that the 327 CI engine did not offer enough displacement to achieve more power... Say no more, said GM, we got you covered. The 1965 model offered the first Big Block engine, the L78, 396 CI engine was offered rated at 425 HP. Our featured car appears to have been born with this engine according to the tell-tale signs, but now it features even more displacement being endowed with a 502 CI engine, a base HO with GM ZZ aluminum heads. Has MSD transistorized ignition, new fan, polished intake... Also it has manually operated fuel pump and push-button start, likely putting out close to 500HP, but it was not dyno-ed. It breathes out via factory look-alike side exhaust. Transmission is a stock 4-speed manual. The engine compartment is highly detailed. Paint is exquisite and features a deep shine, plenty of clear coating and is virtually flawless. Car was born "Glen Green", however the actual paint color is a bit darker than the factory one. Lines on the car are beautifully aligned and indicate an unmolested and likely low miler car. Chrome looks like new, headlights work as they should. Has nice knock-off wheels running on Cooper Cobra tires. Undercarriage is extremely clean, correct and presenting very well. According to the seller, car lived in CA for a long time, thus the "time capsule" look. Interior is all fresh and correct for the year. All gauges and instruments are functional, except clock (of course!). Car is a joy to drive! It has no power options and, once it warms up, it is a beast! We recommend this Vette as a representative example of the era, very hard to duplicate for the money. The purists may cringe a little bit at the color change, the NOM 502, but hey, check out how "pretty" she is!
