1984 C4 Corvette Z51 $7500 obo 119,000 original miles Original Cross Fire Injection 350 and 700R4 trans, runs excellent, shifts great no issues. This has the rarer Z51 package, this is a 1 year only option with the stiffest springs of any C4, it is pretty brutal! This car was meant for the track! Everything works, heat, ac, cruise control, power windows, wipers, etc. Replaced alot of things, all new carpet, weather stripping, door panels, seat covers, catalytic converter, mid pipe, both mufflers, drilled and slotted rotors all around and ceramic pads, C6 Spyder wheels, and tires with 85 to 90% tread left, almost new! Replaced instrument cluster, dash pad, a few interior plastic pieces, fuel pump and sending unit, rebuilt both injectors, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, radiator hoses, blower motor and relay, power brake booster, alternator, have a new starter but haven't installed it, comes with it, both head light motors were rebuilt, all 3 headlight relays were replaced. New KYB shocks all around. Aftermarket radio and speakers in dash pad. Car sat for many many years, wasnt running great when i first got it, had to go through everything. The door locks work intermittently the power antenna is stuck in the extended position, the side rear view mirrors are loose, i havent looked into them, but they do still work power wise, they do move. Previous owner said it was repainted about 6 years ago, not the best paint job. I bought this car with the intention of saving it and reselling it, had it almost a year now and ive grown attached to it but i do have other plans so i am selling it. 1985 Corvette C4 Coupe Z-51 L98 w/ Manual Transmission Please read description thoroughly and carefully. This car is registered in CT on a Rebuilt Title since I bought it in 2007, and before by the previous owner. The License Plates were removed for pictures. The car is Smoke Blue w/ Graphite interior, and has 67,857 original miles as of this listing. The engine is an L98 5.7 / 350CI V8 with Tuned Port Injection. The transmission is a standard (manual shift) 4 speed Borg Warner Super T-10 with a Doug Nash 4+3 Overdrive gearbox. This Corvette has the Z-51 handling package. The rims are from a 2001 corvette. The AC works, but is not charged (R12). The radio is a Pioneer AM/FM/CD (single) stereo with 4 speakers. Previous owner’s upgrades include rebuilt transmission, oversized 58mm throttle body, ECM w/ Hyper Tech chip, Vortex Ram Air kit w/ extra K&N high flow cone filter (2 total), heat treated short headers with a Flowmaster 3-inch dual exhaust system, & chrome on the motor. When I bought this car, I didn’t know a lot about Corvettes. The guy I bought it from knew even less apparently, and did most of his own work, and the car was a mess. Most of the work to get this car back on track was done at my local Chevy dealer by their Corvette Specialist. Mechanically the car is sound and runs great, needing paint and cosmetic work to finish. There is a slow oil drip that is most likely the rear main engine seal that Chevy said is common in these and recommended to leave it alone as it is a minor leak, and not worth the labor cost unless other major engine repairs are needed later on. I never have to add oil between oil changes. It is mostly just an annoyance in that it leaves oil drips on the floor. This car has always been kept in the garage since I have owned it. Some mechanical repairs aside from basic maintenance are as follows: Overdrive gearbox unit rebuilt by S-K Speed & Performance (Long Island, N.Y.) installed at Chevy, upgraded power window motors / regulators, weather stripping / seals, replace master & slave clutch cylinders, windshield wiper/wash module, intake manifold gaskets, timing chain cover, fuel pump, rebuilt top end of engine, head gaskets and valve job, exhaust manifold gaskets, O2 sensor, water pump, alternator / rectifier, Blackout Headliner & Pinhole Sunscreen for the Targa top, which was replaced with a new Targa top early on, but now has a crack starting to show. New inner door panels and armrest savers, sun visors, antenna saver bypass wiring harness w/ toggle switch (Passenger side), power door lock switches, Conti Extreme High Performance DWS tires (275/40ZR18 Rear - 245/45ZR17 Front), neutral (clutch) safety switch, reverse light switch with toggle switch (Driver side) under dash, replaced 4 speed shifter & linkage rod assembly, rebuilt digital instrument "star wars" cluster panel, replaced brake light switch, ignition switch, heater shut off valve assembly, rear suspension spindle rod / bearings, overdrive cable, new starter, drive axle u-joints, replaced rear trailing arm assembly. This is most of the more major repairs. I have a ridiculous amount of money tied up into this car. Selling to down-size. I don’t drive it nearly enough & it spends most of the time sitting in my garage. This is a nice looking, good running & handling, comfortable, very distinct, fun car to drive.
