Yes, C3’s are common – but not this one:
• #42 Bright Breen (<300 cars were painted this color, it was a factory special order option) with deluxe saddle tan leather interior
• 4-speed, L-48 but original owner had L82 components added (yes, engine is original to the car – and I do have the smog pump but long ago removed, they were awful)
• All power options: steering, brakes, windows, antenna
• Rare options: A/C, rear window defogger, through-seat shoulder harnesses, map light, gymkhana suspension (which the original owner added – so this handles unlike typical C3)
• Black vinyl removable hardtop
Of course, everything works.
Top is relatively new (of course, proper date-stamp). Interior has been redone as the leather was failing. New carpeting (with heat-resistant padding, a necessity in a C3). Paint was redone in 2006 when new 1975-correct bumpers were added. An after-market radio has been carefully designed to mimic factory – all componentry is discretely accessible above the battery. Also has a sports steering wheel (but can include the original factory wheel if you wanted but it drives SO much better with the sport wheel).
Also, true dual exhaust has been fitted to this car (I do have the original cat converter if someone cares, but again, these were woefully detuned for 1975 and at its age, smog pump/cat converter are no longer required).
This is a really fun car to drive, and a real head turner. I am only aware of three other remaining roadsters in the #42 Green.
