March 9, 2003

The shocks have seen better days. The condition of the shocks didn't surprise us because of how bumpy the ride was while driving it. We were still a bit "shocked" to see that there were holes in the shocks though. Our new Koni shocks will be a huge improvement. I wonder how many miles these shocks lasted.

We removed the front springs, shocks, and a-arms. We were able to get everything stripped from the frame except the left rear trailing arm. The bolt is stuck in place. We hammered it, heated it and pounded it to no avail. We were finally able to remove it with the use of a sawzall and a little bit of work with the cutting torch.
